Maybe not so near between :-)

Well, I can't believe I've gone a week without posting anything. Here lately, God has been dealing with me about restructuring and reorganizing my life. He has blessed me with many talents and I feel that He now wants me to start focusing those talents on His Will. Where does this leave my blog? Well, I don't know at this point. Whether or not this blog is in His ongoing plan He has yet to reveal. However, I do believe that it was His Will that I start it. So, please continue to pray for me that I make the right decisions and stay in His perfect Will at all times (that is my true heart's desire).

I'll leave you with something I was reminded of the other day... a funny little oxymoron that most computers contain. Try starting your computer with the keyboard unplugged. If its like most computers, you will get the following message:

Keyboard Error or No Keyboard Present... Press F1 to Continue

Think about that! :)

Many and near between

In an effort to provide better content (and to allow myself more sleep ;-), I may not be posting as often as I have been. You know how it goes... turn 21, see how fast life is going by, try to consolidate, try to reorganize, etc. Thanks for your understanding!

;-)
Blog to you later!

Start your morning right!

It is absolutely astonishing to see how much better your day goes when you start it out by praying and studying God's Word. You're more productive, you're better prepared for Satan's attacks, and there's less stress because your focus is more on God throughout the day. I can definitely tell a difference when I forget to start my day right. Thank you, Lord, for loving us and helping us all with the life that You have so graciously given us!

Evolution? Millions and billions of years old? See AiG

For those of you who are confused about how evolution and the so-called 4.57 billion-year-old earth fits in with the Bible, check out Answers In Genesis. I've included a few interesting links from AiG below...

Web 3.0: An Integrated Future

There's been a lot of hype over Web 2.0 and the next generation of web applications, and some have been speculating on what Web 3.0 will be like. For me, I believe that part of Web 3.0 will be better integration between applications.

In today's world, we have many different programs attempting to tackle similar problems. Competition between companies usually brings out the best of the best, but rarely does one company win in every category. What we end up with is several gold-standard products made from completely separate companies; and, although most allow import/export, the majority of them usually lack any sort of synchronization or connection.

Now, imagine a world where all of your applications are connected behind the scenes without using import and export. This may sound idealistic, but we are seeing a growing need for some kind of integration between all of these new web applications. For instance, Google may one day produce an outstanding web-based calendar program, but will it allow me to send the day's events to my journal program, or possibly even my blog? Having to import/export and copy/paste is getting more and more counter productive.

So, what do I think the buzz word will be for Web 3.0? Say hello to Send to and Synchronize with buttons. :-)

Goodbye to 21... Welcome 22!

Well, near the end of this week I will be passing the age marker of twenty-one. As someone once told me, you are actually living your Age+1 year :-) In other words, after this week I will be living my 22nd year. That's cool to think about.. of course, I probably won't be as eager to use such a thought when I hit say 39. LOL. Anyways, good night folks; I'll try not to let all those candles start a fire in the house ;-)

Grandparents

I am absolutely blessed to have all four of my grandparents still with me. I am right at this very moment spending the night with two of them (as you may have noticed, it's late... we always stay up and have a lot of fun!). In a few weeks, I will be going on vacation with my other set of grandparents! A lot of kids, teens, and young adults these days don't realize the enjoyment they're missing by not spending time with their grandparents. My sister and I have always had a lot of fun, and we have learned so much over the years by just being around them (the wisdom that grandparents have is amazing!) And, not only is it fun for the grandchildren, but it's also a wonderful delight to the grandparents as well. Even God talks about this in His Word (Proverbs 17:6). If you still have grandparents, start spending time with them and you'll soon see what I'm talking about. You won't regret it.

Give me a break!

The lawsuits these days are getting absolutely absurd. Someone is now suing Apple for potential hearing loss from the iPod. Give me a break! It would be one thing if your iPod was broken and played music at high decibels regardless of the volume setting. But, as long as it's functioning properly, isn't it common sense not to play your iPod too loud? Suing Apple because of possible hearing loss is like suing a company that makes sunglasses because of possible eye damage from staring into the sun. I mean, how far will they let this go? Why not sue Apple for a possible choking hazard with the iPod Shuffle? Why not sue GM because of the possibility of driving too fast and wrecking your car? Why not sue a company that makes matches because of the potential to get burned? Are we eventually going to have to print a hundred different warning stickers on every product?

As far as Christians are concerned, we shouldn't be suing people anyway. The Bible talks about this in 1 Corinthians 6:1-8. It also says in Proverbs 13:11 that "Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows." (NLT) Besides, in Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus tells us to forgive. Forgive not just once, but 490 times! So, instead of suing people (or companies), let's start forgiving them.

Three "rocket" ideas for the vehicle

Here are a few vehicle ideas I've had in the past (Feel free to use these if you're an inventor ;-)...

- A vehicle cruise control with pre-set and user-set speed limits (like 35, 45, 55, etc.)

- A vehicle garbage disposal and/or trash container (for those leftover fast food bags)

- Buttons on your vehicle remote to roll up or down the vehicle windows (Is it raining outside? Just press a button to roll up the windows without getting wet!)
